Reading

We will be working on more advanced phonics/word analysis, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension of both fiction and non-fiction texts. The 90-minute reading block will consist of approximately 30 minutes of whole group instruction, followed by 60 minutes of small-group instruction, independent reading, and center activities designed to strengthen reading skills. Please note that our textbook is not the curriculum, so we may take stories out of order, and we may not use all of the materials in the workbooks.
